Dr. Susan Holiday, DMD
Dr. Susan Holiday, graduated Rutgers College and University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, currently is credentialed at five different hospitals to treat children under sedation/anesthesia administered safely by a board certified M.D. Anesthesiologist.
Dr. Susan Holiday treats children who need special care. Many children who have decayed teeth find it difficult to sit still for dental work. Dr. Susan tries very hard to make these children comfortable enough to tolerate their necessary dental treatment.
At Dr. Aronoff’s office we offer many children’s movies and videos on a raised overhead screen which they can easily view while lying back in the dental chair. Children are spoken to gently and encouraged to learn about cleaning their teeth and getting their cavities taken care of.
Parents are part of the process by sitting near the child and holding their hands. If the child needs laughing gas that is available as well. Fun motivational gifts and stickers are offered as prizes. Occasionally the child needs extra help which is properly addressed with the parents according the need of each child.
Dr. Holiday teaches surgical pediatric dentistry to dentists in their residency programs in two teaching institutions.
Dr. Susan Holiday has a practice that specializes in seeing pediatric patients under sedation (general anesthesia in a hospital). We encourage certain patients to see Dr. Holiday based upon the level of treatment needed.
